How to transfer coins by email or phone number

With EMCD Wallet, you can Transfer coins to another user by email or phone number. For this type of transfer, you do not need to enter a wallet address or Select a network.

The transfer is processed within EMCD, so no Network fee is charged.

How to transfer coins

  1. Open Assets on the website or Home in the app.

  2. Select WithdrawBy phone number or By email address.

  3. Enter the recipient's email address or phone number in international format.

  4. Enter the amount.

  5. Carefully verify the recipient's details and the final amount.

  6. Confirm the transfer using your 2FA code.

  7. Check the status in your transaction history.

If the recipient already has an EMCD account

The funds are credited to the account linked to the specified email address or phone number. The operation is processed asynchronously and usually takes about 5–10 seconds, although it may take longer for the interface to display the updated information.

Before confirming the transfer, make sure the email address or phone number has been entered correctly. Once the funds have been credited, the transfer cannot be canceled through the interface.

If the recipient does not have an EMCD account yet

EMCD will send the recipient an invitation by email or SMS. The funds will remain available to claim for 7 days.

If the recipient does not register and claim the transfer within this period, the funds will automatically be returned to the sender. You may not receive a separate notification about the return, so check your transaction history and balance.

A pending transfer cannot be canceled manually. If you entered the wrong contact details, contact EMCD Support as soon as possible. A cancellation is only possible through the internal procedure and cannot be guaranteed if the recipient has already claimed the funds.

How to enter a phone number correctly

Use the international format, including the country code. Do not add spaces or other characters unless the interface formats the number automatically.

Transfer security

  • Verify every character of the recipient's email address or phone number.

  • Verify the coin and the amount.

  • Never share your 2FA code with the recipient.

  • If you are transferring funds to a new recipient, send a small amount first.

  • Do not trust requests to return an "accidental" transfer without first checking your transaction history.

What should I do if I have a problem?

If the transfer remains pending for an extended period, check whether the recipient is registered with the specified email address or phone number. Also ask them to check their Spam folder or incoming SMS messages.

If you entered the wrong email address or phone number, contact EMCD Support immediately. Provide the coin, amount, operation time, and the contact details you entered. Do not create another transfer until you know the result of the previous one.
