What is EMCD Wallet

EMCD Wallet is a multi-currency custodial crypto wallet within the EMCD ecosystem. It allows you to store coins, receive and transfer them, convert one coin into another, and use EMCD products.

A custodial crypto wallet means that EMCD is responsible for the technical storage of your private keys. You do not need to create or store a seed phrase for EMCD Wallet. Account security features, including 2FA, are used to sign in and confirm important operations.

How the wallet works

Each coin has its own balance. Some coins support multiple networks. For example, the same coin can be sent and received through different blockchains. The sending and receiving networks must match, while wallet addresses may differ depending on the selected network.

EMCD also uses accounts for different purposes:

  • Main account — for storing coins, topping up, withdrawals, transfers, and coin conversion;

  • Mining account — for receiving mining Rewards before withdrawing or transferring them;

  • Trading account — for trading in the trading terminal;

  • Card account — for paying with the EMCD Payment Card.

All of these are parts of a single EMCD account, not separate accounts with different login credentials.

Available operations

Depending on your country, identity verification level, platform, and selected coin, you can:

  • receive coins to your EMCD wallet address;

  • transfer coins to another EMCD wallet address;

  • transfer coins to an external wallet address;

  • transfer coins to another user by email or phone number;

  • convert one coin into another;

  • buy coins using a bank card or another available Payment method;

  • sell coins for fiat through an available provider;

  • view and export your transaction history.

How an internal transfer differs from a blockchain transfer

When you transfer funds between EMCD accounts using a wallet address, email, or phone number, the operation is processed within the platform. The transaction is not broadcast to the blockchain, so no Network fee is charged and the funds are transferred instantly.

When you transfer funds to an external wallet address, the transaction is sent to the blockchain. You must select the correct network, verify the wallet address, and provide a memo or tag if required. Blockchain processing takes time, and a Network fee applies.

How to protect your wallet

  • Enable 2FA.

  • Never share your password or verification codes.

  • Before transferring funds, verify the coin, network, wallet address, amount, and memo or tag.

  • Do not follow links from suspicious emails or messages.

  • If you are transferring a large amount, send a small test transaction first.

A transaction that has already been sent to the blockchain cannot be canceled or modified.

What should I do if I have a problem?

Check the transaction status in your wallet history. If the transaction has already been sent to the blockchain, prepare the transaction hash, selected network, wallet address, and amount.

If you do not recognize a transaction, change your password as soon as possible and contact EMCD Support. You can do this from your account or by emailing [email protected].
