What to Do If a Temporary Withdrawal Restriction Is Applied After a P2P Order

To protect users and help prevent fraudulent activity, EMCD P2P uses an automated risk control system. In some cases, after purchasing cryptocurrency, temporary restrictions may be placed on withdrawals or the resale of assets through P2P.

What the T+N Mechanism Is

T+N is a temporary restriction mechanism that may be applied to crypto assets after a P2P order is completed.

Once the transaction is completed, the system automatically analyzes its parameters and assesses the associated risk level. If additional verification is required, a temporary restriction may be applied to the purchased assets.

During the restriction period, the following actions may be unavailable:

  • Crypto withdrawals

  • Selling assets through P2P

Other account functions, including trading and transactions involving your other assets, remain available during this period.

The duration of the restriction depends on the type of transaction and the outcome of the automated risk assessment.

Cases When a Restriction May Apply

Account Password Change

After a password change, the security system may temporarily restrict cryptocurrency withdrawals for up to 24 hours.

First P2P Purchase

A temporary restriction is automatically applied after your first cryptocurrency purchase via EMCD P2P when the transaction is conducted in RUB, UAH, and KZT.

The duration of the restriction depends on your role in the order:

Operation type

Restriction period

First purchase as a maker

Up to 24 hours

First purchase as a taker

Up to 6 hours

For all other currencies, no restriction is applied to a user's first purchase

Reason for the Restriction

The T+N mechanism helps:

  • Protect users from fraudulent transactions

  • Reduce risks associated with high-risk payments

  • Prevent the misuse of third-party payment details

  • Support compliance with AML and anti-fraud policies

A temporary restriction does not indicate that a user has violated the platform's rules.

How to Identify an Active Restriction

If a restriction is active:

  • Cryptocurrency withdrawals may be temporarily unavailable

  • Reselling assets through P2P may be restricted

Information about the restriction period is displayed directly in the platform interface.

Actions If Withdrawal Is Temporarily Unavailable

If your assets are restricted:

  • Wait for the restriction period to expire

  • Ensure your account is fully verified

  • Use only your own payment details

  • Do not create additional accounts to bypass restrictions

Once the restriction period ends, access to the affected functions will be restored automatically.

Early Removal of Restrictions

Temporary restrictions are automatically lifted once the review period is complete.

In some cases, the support team may request additional information to verify your account or a specific transaction.

Important Notice

EMCD reserves the right to apply temporary restrictions when necessary to protect users and maintain platform security.

The duration of any restriction depends on the outcome of the automated risk assessment process.
