Main Reasons for Cancellation
1. Payment Timer Expired
Once a P2P order is created, the payment timer starts automatically. If payment is not confirmed within the required time, the order is canceled automatically.
This is a protection mechanism designed to prevent sellers from waiting indefinitely for payment.
2. The Order Was Canceled Manually
The buyer can cancel the order before confirming payment, for example if:
They decided not to proceed with the payment
The payment details were incorrect or unsuitable
The order terms did not meet their requirements
3. Payment Was Not Confirmed inside the Order
If the bank transfer was sent but the Paid button was not clicked, the order is still considered unpaid.
Even if the transfer was completed successfully, the platform only relies on the order status inside the interface. In this case, the order may be canceled automatically when the timer expires.
4. The Order Was Resolved Through a Dispute or Canceled by Platform Decision
If a dispute occurs (for example, payment was sent but not confirmed by the seller), the order may be:
Completed through the dispute resolution process
Canceled if payment could not be verified or the order terms were violated
The final decision is based on the evidence provided by both parties, as well as information from the order chat and the original order conditions.
5. Order Terms Were Violated
An order may be canceled if platform rules are violated, for example:
Payment was sent from a third-party account
The transferred amount was incorrect
The payment note included prohibited information, such as references to cryptocurrency
The payment method used did not match the order conditions
6. The Risk Management System Was Triggered
The platform may automatically cancel an order if suspicious activity is detected, such as:
Unusual account behavior
Attempts to bypass platform rules
Complaints from other users
In such cases, additional verification may be required.
How Order Cancellation Works in EMCD P2P
In EMCD P2P, order status changes automatically or manually depending on user actions and system triggers within the platform.
If the Paid button is not clicked, the order remains unpaid
If the payment timer expires, the order is canceled automatically
If platform rules are violated, the system may cancel the order without the other party’s involvement
This helps prevent stalled transactions and reduces risk for both parties.
How to Avoid Order Cancellation
To reduce the risk of cancellations and complications during a trade, it is important to keep several key points in mind:
A bank transfer alone does not complete the transaction
Payment must always be confirmed inside the order
Payment details and order conditions should be followed carefully
The order timer limits the time available to confirm payment
If payment was sent but the order was canceled, do not create a new order immediately.
Instead, contact EMCD support first and provide proof of payment to help avoid possible loss of funds. Note that once an order has been canceled, it is no longer possible to open a dispute for it.
