Payment Card

Let’s look at what the EMCD Payment Card is, how to get one, and what limits apply

Updated this week

What is a Payment Card?

The Payment Card is a virtual crypto card you can use to pay in USD anywhere Mastercard is accepted. It also works with Apple Pay and Google Pay.

How does the Payment Card work?

When you verify your identity and add funds, your Payment Card is ready to use for everyday purchases. Each time you pay, the amount in USD is deducted from your Payment Card balance. You’ll need to top it up manually from your internal USDT wallet.

How to get and activate a Payment Card?

  1. Go to the "Payment Card" section and click "Get a Payment Card."

  2. Complete identity verification in the window that opens. This step is required.

  3. To activate the Payment Card, top up its balance. The minimum top-up is 15 USDT. Funds are credited instantly and available for purchases.

  4. After successful identity verification and top-up, the Payment Card is automatically activated and ready for use.

If your identity verification isn’t approved, try again with a different document. If document processing takes longer than 30 minutes, contact support via in-app chat, on the website, or by email at [email protected]

How to add your Payment Card to Apple Pay or Google Pay

  1. Open the app:

    • Google Wallet: Download it from Google Play and open it.

    • Apple Wallet: Open Wallet on your iPhone, or open the Watch app on Apple Watch.

  2. Add the card:

    • Tap "Add Card" → choose "Payment Card / Credit or Debit Card."

    • Enter the details manually or scan them with the camera. Check the cardholder name, expiration date, and CVV.

  3. Complete verification:

    • Enter the verification code (for example, via SMS or email) and wait for the "Card added" confirmation.

  4. How to pay:

    • Google Wallet: Unlock your phone, hold it near the terminal, and wait for confirmation.

    • Apple Pay: Double-press the side button (on iPhone/Watch), authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode, then hold the device near the terminal.

Are there limits on using the Payment Card?

Limits apply only to top-ups. You can add up to $5,000 per month, either in a single transaction or spread across several during the month.

There are no limits on spending. You’re free to use your balance to pay for purchases and services of any amount, as long as it’s within your available funds.
