How Rewards and Payouts Work on EMCD

Rewards and payouts are calculated daily and reflected in your account interface. This guide explains how calculations are performed, when payouts occur, and where this information appears in the EMCD dashboard, with practical examples.

How Rewards Are Calculated

Reward calculations are based on actual mining performance. The system processes mining data daily and updates balances accordingly.

Where Reward Data Appears

In the dashboard — available in both the web version and the mobile app — you can review the following:

  • Reward for the previous day: The amount calculated based on completed mining activity from the last full mining day;

  • Estimated reward for the current day: A projection based on the previous day’s network conditions and your current hashrate.

Amount pending payout: The total of calculated rewards that have not yet been paid out and are currently reflected in your mining wallet.

Reward Calculation Period

Rewards are calculated for a 24-hour mining period starting at 03:00 on the previous day and ending at 03:00 of the current day (GMT+3).

When Mining Results Are Recorded

Mining activity for the previous calculation period is recorded at 03:00 (GMT+3) each day.

When Daily Rewards Are Applied

For all mining assets, daily rewards are credited between 09:00 and 12:00 (GMT+3) on the same day mining activity is recorded.

Why Estimated and Actual Rewards May Differ

The estimated reward provides a projection for the current day based on the previous day’s network conditions, including factors such as network difficulty and transaction fees. It serves as a reference value rather than a final calculation.

When the system performs the final calculation, the mining period has already ended and updated network data is available. This confirmed data is used to calculate the precise reward.

Once finalized, the Amount pending payout field reflects the confirmed reward for the completed mining period.

As a result, the final reward may be higher or lower than the earlier estimate. This difference reflects changes in network conditions, not adjustments to previously calculated data.

Example:

  1. On the 17th, the dashboard displayed an estimated reward of 0.00123456 BTC. This estimate was based on your average hashrate and the network conditions recorded on the 16th. At that stage, the value served as a projection, not a final calculation.

  2. On the 18th at 03:00 (GMT+3), the system recorded your actual mining activity for the completed period — from 03:00 on the 17th to 03:00 on the 18th (GMT+3). During that time, your total processed hashrate amounted to XXX TH.

  3. Later on the 18th, finalized network data for the 17th became available. In this example, overall network reward was higher than on the 16th.

  4. The final reward was then calculated by applying the confirmed network reward for the 17th to your recorded hashrate of XXX TH. This resulted in a finalized reward of 0.00130000 BTC.

  5. The credited reward therefore differs from the earlier estimate because it reflects updated network data. In this case, the final amount is higher than the projected value shown on the 17th.

Why the First Reward May Be Lower

If mining begins partway through a calculation period, the first reward is calculated proportionally to the time your hardware was active before the daily cutoff.

Example:

  1. You start mining on the 20th at 23:00 (GMT+3).

  2. On the 21st at 03:00 (GMT+3), the system records mining activity for the period from 23:00 on the 20th to 03:00 on the 21st.

  3. The reward credited on the 21st reflects four hours of mining activity.

  4. On the 22nd, the reward reflects a full 24-hour mining period, from 03:00 on the 21st to 03:00 on the 22nd (GMT+3).

Payouts

How Payouts Differ from Rewards

A reward is the calculated mining result for a completed period.

A payout is the transfer of that calculated amount to a wallet — either an internal EMCD wallet or an external wallet you specify — at a scheduled time.

When Payouts Occur

  • EMCD Wallet: Calculated rewards are credited to the internal wallet at the same time daily rewards are applied. No additional waiting period is required.

  • External wallet: Transfers to external wallets are processed once per day between 15:00 and 17:00 (GMT+3).

Why an External Payout May Not Have Been Processed

If a payout to an external wallet was not processed, review the following:

  • Wallet address change waiting period: After updating an external wallet address, a 24-hour waiting period applies before payouts to the new address can resume. This delay is part of standard account protection procedures.

Example:

  1. You set a new external wallet address on the 20th at 18:00 (GMT+3).

  2. A 24-hour restriction applies until 18:00 on the 21st (GMT+3).

  3. On the 21st, external wallet payouts were processed at 16:30 (GMT+3), before the restriction expired.

  4. As a result, the payout is instead processed on the 22nd during the regular external payout window.

  • Minimum payout threshold not reached: Payouts to an external wallet are processed only after the configured minimum payout threshold is reached.

Example:

  1. On the 23rd at 12:00 (GMT+3), you set a minimum payout threshold of 0.1 BTC.

  2. At that time, your mining balance was 0.099 BTC.

  3. Because the balance was below the configured threshold, the external payout scheduled for the 23rd was not processed. The payout will be processed once the balance reaches or exceeds the specified minimum.

A Payout Was Processed but Is Not Visible in the Wallet

If a payout shows as completed but does not yet appear in your wallet, follow these steps:

  • Check the Transaction Status

  1. Open the Payouts section in your account dashboard:

  2. Select the transaction link to view its details:

  3. Review the number of network confirmations.

Most wallets display incoming funds only after the transaction receives at least 3–4 network confirmations. Until that point, the payout may not appear in the wallet balance.

If the payout shows 4 confirmations and the amount is still not visible, contact EMCD support for further review.

Example of the Payout Process:

  1. You start mining BTC on the 28th at 10:00 (GMT+3).

  2. On the 29th at 03:00 (GMT+3), the system records your mining activity for the period from 10:00 on the 28th to 03:00 on the 29th.

  3. Later on the 29th, the reward for that period is calculated based on the recorded activity and credited between 10:00 and 12:00 (GMT+3) with the status ‘Amount pending payout’.

  4. The payout to your wallet is processed on the 29th between 16:00 and 17:00 (GMT+3), reflecting the calculated amount for the completed mining period.
