How to turn on Passkey

Passkey is an alternative way to log in to the app and confirm payments without a password or SMS codes.

A cryptographic key saved on the device and protected by biometrics or a PIN is used to verify the action. This increases security and speeds up payment confirmation.

Setting up Passkey step by step

In the web version

  • Open Profile at the bottom of the left sidebar

Go to the Security tab in the top menu

  • Click Add Passkey in the 2FA protection section

  • Confirm the action using the device's biometrics or a system confirmation method, such as a PIN code

  • Confirm the setup on the device

  • Activate Passkey biometrics

In the app

  • Open Profile

  • Go to Security

  • Tap Passkey biometrics

  • Select the verification method: Face ID or fingerprint

  • Confirm the setup on the device

  • Activate Passkey biometrics

How Passkey works after activation

After Passkey is activated, confirmation of P2P orders becomes faster and more secure — in most cases, without SMS codes:

  • in the app, biometrics are used (Face ID or fingerprint)

  • in the web version, the method depends on the device: biometrics or the device PIN / password

Where Passkey is used

Passkey is used to confirm key actions in the account where increased security is important:

  • order confirmation

  • balance operations

  • withdrawals

Important

  • Passkey is linked to the device or sync account (for example, iCloud or Google)

  • when using a new device, repeated setup may be required

  • it is recommended to keep a backup 2FA method (for example, Google Authenticator)

If Passkey cannot be enabled

Check:

  • whether biometrics are enabled on the device

  • whether the browser supports Passkey

  • whether the app and browser are updated to the latest version
