Key features of EMCD Monitoring

Learn what EMCD Monitoring can do: ASIC miner control, device metrics, sites, events, pools and reports.

EMCD Monitoring is EMCD's platform for monitoring and managing ASIC miners. It lets you track the state of your farm hardware in real time and run operations remotely: reboot, pool change, reconfiguration.

The system is designed for a scale of up to 40,000 devices, with data refreshed every 30 seconds.

What the system consists of

The system consists of the Monitoring cloud and the local Miner Agent installed on a dedicated device at the farm.

User → Monitoring (REST/Web) → Miner Agent → ASIC devices

Only the Miner Agent is installed at the farm — it is the single component that has to be configured on site.

What the platform can do

  • All hardware on one screen — hashrate, temperature, status and power consumption.

  • Instant reaction to failures — the system detects a hashrate drop, overheating or a disconnect and sends a notification.

  • Automatic discovery — specify an IP range and the system will find every ASIC and identify the models.

  • Remote management — reboot, pool change, reconfiguration, in bulk or one by one.

  • Comparison with the pool — the platform flags any divergence between farm and pool hashrate.

Sections of the platform

  • Home page — summary statistics for the whole organization: figures by site and by device.

  • Sites — an overview of all sites, with the ability to create, edit and archive them.

  • Employees — a list of employees with search, add, edit and delete, and access role configuration.

  • Devices — a list of all devices with confirmation, owner management, export and pool setup.

  • Scanner — scan history, starting a new scan and downloading agents.

  • Notifications — a log of incidents across all devices of the organization, with model, IP, site, event type and timestamp.

  • Owners — data on all device owners and the devices assigned to them.
