The Miner Agent is the local EMCD Monitoring agent for monitoring ASIC miners at the farm. It is installed on a dedicated device on the same network as your mining hardware, and it is the only component you have to configure on site.
How to download the agent
Go to the Scanner section and click the agent download button.
Select the platform and the site the agent is being installed for.

Installing the agent on Linux
Installation instructions are available right in the interface — follow the steps on screen.
The agent installs as a system service (systemd) and starts automatically. Root privileges are required for installation and startup.
How to activate the agent
Once the commands have run, go back to the interface and click Activate agent.
If needed, an additional agent can be downloaded for the same site.
The system is not meant to run several agents for one site — only one agent can be active at a time.
How to run a network scan
The agent scans the local network of the machine it is installed on. From the agent card you can start or restart the agent, or start a scan.
After the scan, a list of the discovered devices appears. Serial numbers can be entered right away or later, on the unconfirmed devices tab.
Devices awaiting serial number confirmation are shown in the Devices section.
How the agent works
Scanning happens in the local network of the machine where the agent is installed.
It reaches ASIC devices over HTTP/HTTPS on ports 80/443.
Telemetry is sent to the cloud over gRPC on port 443 (TLS).
It runs as a system service (systemd) and starts automatically.
Device discovery uses ICMP plus an HTTP probe.
Once your devices are added, you can assign owners to them or move on to viewing metrics.

When using EMCD Monitoring, the local agent (Miner Agent) is installed with root privileges. It scans devices and transmits technical metrics to the cloud in accordance with our privacy policy. By starting the scan, you confirm that you are scanning only your own network and equipment.
Your use of EMCD Monitoring is governed by the Monitoring Product Terms
