How do I start mining on EMCD pool?
To start mining, create an account and connect specialized mining equipment to the pool. Mining on a phone or laptop is not supported, as their computing power is not sufficient.
Mining may be restricted or subject to registration in certain jurisdictions. Users are solely responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations regarding mining activities (cl. 2.6 ToS)
Which coins can I mine on the pool?
The EMCD pool supports mining of a large number of Proof-of-Work (PoW) coins.
You can view the full list of supported coins and calculate the estimate the approximate reward of your equipment on the website.
Note: All calculator outputs and historical metrics are provided for reference only; they do not constitute financial advice or guarantees of future rewards (cl. 4.15, 6.4 ToS).
If you would like to suggest a new coin, you can contact us by email with project details.
What reward distribution systems does the pool use?
The EMCD pool uses FPPS, PPLNS, and PPS+ reward calculation methods depending on the selected coin.
You can find more detailed information in this article.
Pool fees and minimum payout thresholds
The EMCD pool is non-custodial: accrued rewards are transferred directly to the external wallet address you designate (cl. 4.11 ToS).
The pool fee is 1.5% for all coins except BTC. For BTC, the fee is 4%. Minimum payout thresholds depend on the mined coin.
Pool fee rates, calculation methods, and minimum payout thresholds are published in the main pool specifications table in your account.

How can I estimate the approximate reward for my equipment?
To evaluate projected performance, you can use the reward calculator.
You can view the full list of supported coins and estimate the approximate reward for your equipment on the website. The calculator shows an approximate estimate based on the pool's data for the previous 24 hours.
Estimated figures are for informational and monitoring purposes only — they do not constitute financial advice and do not guarantee future reward amounts (cl. 4.15, 6.4 ToS). Your actual reward depends on submitted valid shares, network difficulty, and pool luck.
Hardware setup
Configuration, thermal management, power consumption, and physical maintenance of your mining equipment are entirely your responsibility (cl. 5.6–5.8 ToS).
What worker name should I use when configuring my equipment?
The worker name must follow this format:
<login>.<worker_name>
Explanation:
<login>— the username specified when creating your account.— a dot (required)<worker_name>— any convenient worker name containing only Latin letters and numbers
Avoid using the following characters: @ & ₽ \ | « » "
For all other hardware settings, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for your device.
How can I connect multiple devices to the pool?
On the first device, set the worker name as:
<login>.<worker_name1>
On the second device:
<login>.<worker_name2>
On the third and any additional devices, change the number in the worker name or use a custom name that will help you identify the device in your personal account.
For easier tracking of multiple devices, you can add a number at the end of the worker name, as shown in the examples above.
Avoid using the following characters: @ & ₽ \ | « » "
Can I use the same worker name for multiple devices?
If you use the same worker name for multiple devices, they will be displayed as a single worker. To ensure you can identify which device is experiencing issues, assign a separate worker name to each device.
Which stratum server should I connect to?
Always specify all three stratum addresses in your device configuration for automated backup failover (cl. 5.2–5.5 ToS):
Primary stratum (URL 1): The server with the lowest ping from your location.
Secondary stratum (URL 2): The next lowest latency server.
Tertiary stratum (URL 3): An additional backup server.
Your device will primarily mine through the first address. If connectivity to the primary server is interrupted, the hardware will automatically fail over to the secondary or tertiary server without downtime (cl. 5.2–5.5 ToS).
Two types of stratum connections are available in the pool:
TCP stratum (stratum+tcp://) — standard connection protocol. It is used by most miners.
TLS stratum (stratum+tls://) — encrypted connection protocol using TLS for enhanced security.
TCP vs TLS Stratum Connections
Parameter | TCP stratum | TLS stratum |
Connection type | Unencrypted | Encrypted |
Security level | Standard | Enhanced |
Data protection | No | Yes |
Connection protocol | stratum+tcp:// | stratum+tls:// |
Recommendations for choosing a stratum connection
We recommend selecting the connection type based on your network conditions.
Use TCP stratum if:
You have a stable and reliable internet connection
You want minimal latency (ping)
Use TLS stratum if:
You are connecting through a public, corporate, or unstable network
Additional data protection is important
Standard TCP ports are unavailable

Why can’t I see my workers on the EMCD pool?
It may take up to 20 minutes for the system to process and update data regarding the first accepted shares received by the pool.
If your hardware doesn't appear after 20 minutes, we recommend contacting support:
Click the support messenger icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen
Or use alternative contact channels:
Email: [email protected]
Why is my rejection rate so high?
In most cases, a high rejection rate is caused by network instability. The typical rejection rate (RG) is below 1%.
Can I mine on NiceHash through EMCD?
Yes.
Please note that NiceHash is a third-party service. The pool is not responsible for third-party software or service configurations (cl. 5.9 ToS). Automated difficulty adjustments on third-party platforms may affect overall calculated rewards.
Can I mine on HiveOS through EMCD?
Yes. Instructions on how to set it up are available at this link.
HiveOS is third-party software. Operation and compatibility of third-party firmware or operating systems are the sole responsibility of the user (cl. 5.9 ToS).
What is merged mining?
Merged mining is the process of mining two or more cryptocurrencies simultaneously without splitting your hash rate.
You can learn more about merged mining at this link.
Your account (Dashboard)
What is a Watcher link? How do I use it?
The Watcher link provides read-only monitoring access to worker statistics without providing access to account control or payout settings.
To use this feature, generate an API key in the API Keys section of your dashboard. Then go to:
and enter your API key.
How can I add a subaccount?
For website emcd.io:
Hover over your account name
Click "Add a subaccount"
For the mobile app:
Go to Profile
Tap on your account name
Tap on "Add a subaccount"
Subaccounts are structural subdivisions of a single master EMCD account. Any compliance measures, account locks, or restrictions applied under the Terms of Service apply to the account and its subaccounts as a whole (cl. 3.4–3.6 ToS).
How can I view information about connected mining devices?
You can view information about your devices and their statistics in your dashboard under the Mining section, on the Dashboard and Workers tabs.
Why is the hash rate shown in the “Workers” tab lower than my device’s hash rate?
This is because the pool does not calculate performance based on individual hashes, but on shares that have statistical significance. Based on the number of shares submitted by your workers over a certain period of time, the pool calculates the hash rate, builds charts, and maintains statistics.
Hashrate graphs are displayed strictly for monitoring and reference purposes (cl. 4.15 ToS).
Why is the indicator next to my worker yellow?
A yellow indicator means the worker has an “Unstable” status.
When a worker is first connected, it may initially appear yellow because it needs some time to accumulate hashrate statistics.
This status is assigned in two cases:
When the hashrate changes sharply and significantly. For example, during connection or disconnection, when the hash rate shifts from 0 to 100%. It may also occur during a spike in rejected shares, since rejected shares are not counted as accepted hash rate.
When the rejection rate remains consistently above normal levels. For example, if a worker has been running for several hours with a rejection rate of 15%.
Once the situation stabilizes and the worker operates steadily for several hours without excessive rejections, its status will change to “Active.”
Why has the difficulty changed, but the calculator does not reflect this change?
The calculator reflects estimates based on historical pool data over the previous 24 hours. Updated network difficulty factors are reflected after the historical sample updates, 24 hours following the difficulty change.
Where can I set my payout adress?
Because EMCD is a non-custodial pool, funds are not held in platform accounts; confirmed rewards are transferred directly to your external wallet address (cl. 4.11 ToS).
You can specify a payout address in your account settings. Detailed instructions can be found in the article mining payouts to address.
What happens if I don’t set a payout adress?
Keep your payout address up to date.
If you mine without setting an external payout address, rewards accrue in your account statistics; their retention, claim periods, and platform handling are governed strictly by clause 3.9 of the Terms of Service. Always set a valid external payout address before connecting hardware.
