Essential information about the EMCD pool

EMCD is a crypto platform that allows users to mine cryptocurrency, store it, exchange it, invest, and even use it as collateral.

Updated this week

How do I start mining on EMCD pool?

To start mining, create an account and connect specialized mining equipment to the pool. Mining on a phone or laptop is not supported, as their computing power is not sufficient.

Which coins can I mine on the pool?

The EMCD pool supports mining of a large number of Proof-of-Work (PoW) coins.

You can view the full list of supported coins and calculate the estimated profitability of your equipment on the website.

Our team is continuously looking for new promising PoW projects. If you would like to suggest a coin, you can contact us by email and provide details about the project.

What reward distribution systems does the pool use?

The EMCD pool uses FPPS, PPLNS, and PPS+ payout methods depending on the selected coin.

You can find more detailed information in this article.

Pool fees and minimum payout thresholds

The pool fee is 1.5% for all coins except BTC. For BTC, the fee is 4%. Minimum payout thresholds depend on the mined coin.

How can I estimate my potential income based on my equipment?

To estimate your potential income, you can use the profitability calculator.

Hardware setup

What worker name should I use when configuring my equipment?

The worker name must follow this format:

<login>.<worker_name>

Explanation:

  • <login> — the username specified when creating your account

  • . — a dot (required)

  • <worker_name> — any convenient worker name containing only Latin letters and numbers

Avoid using the following characters: @ & ₽ \ | « » "

For all other hardware settings, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for your device.

How can I connect multiple devices to the pool?

  • On the first device, set the worker name as:

<login>.<worker_name1>

  • On the second device:

<login>.<worker_name2>

  • On the third and any additional devices, change the number in the worker name or use a custom name that will help you identify the device in your personal account.

For easier tracking of multiple devices, you can add a number at the end of the worker name, as shown in the examples above.

Avoid using the following characters: @ & ₽ \ | « » "

Can I use the same worker name for multiple devices?

If you use the same worker name for multiple devices, they will be displayed as a single worker. To ensure you can identify which device is experiencing issues, assign a separate worker name to each device.

Which stratum server should I connect to?

Two types of stratum connections are available in the pool:

  1. TCP stratum (stratum+tcp://) — a standard, unencrypted connection type. It is used by most miners and is suitable for everyday operation with a stable internet connection.

  2. TLS stratum (stratum+tls://) — a secure connection type that uses encryption (TLS). All data transmitted between the miner and the pool is encrypted, providing enhanced connection security.

TCP is faster and simpler, while TLS offers greater security due to encryption.

Recommendations for choosing a stratum connection

We recommend selecting the connection type based on your network conditions.

Use TCP stratum if:

  • You have a stable and reliable internet connection

  • Additional data protection is not required

  • You want minimal latency (ping)

Use TLS stratum if:

  • You are connecting through a public, corporate, or unstable network

  • Additional data protection is important

  • Standard TCP ports are unavailable

List of addresses

TCP stratum servers:

  • stratum+tcp://gate.emcd.network:PORT — Russia

  • stratum+tcp://eu.emcd.network:PORT — Europe

  • stratum+tcp://kz.emcd.network:PORT — Kazakhstan

  • stratum+tcp://cn.emcd.network:PORT — China

  • stratum+tcp://us.emcd.network:PORT — United States

  • stratum+tcp://ru.hash.care:PORT — Russia (Alternative)

TLS stratum servers:

  • stratum+tls://gate.emcd.network:PORT — Russia

  • stratum+tls://eu.emcd.network:PORT — Europe

  • stratum+tls://kz.emcd.network:PORT — Kazakhstan

  • stratum+tls://cn.emcd.network:PORT — China

  • stratum+tls://us.emcd.network:PORT — United States

  • stratum+tls://ru.hash.care:PORT — Russia (Alternative)

Important: Always connect to the stratum server in your region to ensure minimal latency and more stable device operation.

Why can’t I see my workers on the EMCD pool?

It may take up to 20 minutes for the system to update data about the first shares received by the pool. Once this process is complete, your workers will appear in your personal account.

If your hardware doesn't appear after 20 minutes, we recommend contacting support:

  • Click the support messenger icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen

  • Or use alternative contact channels:

Why is my rejection rate so high?

In most cases, a high rejection rate is caused by an unstable internet connection. The normal rejection rate (RG) is up to approximately 1%.

Can I mine on NiceHash through EMCD?

Yes. However, since the mining difficulty is set automatically, you may experience reduced earnings.

Can I mine on HiveOS through EMCD?

Yes. Instructions on how to set it up are available at this link.

What is merged mining?

Merged mining is the process of mining two or more cryptocurrencies simultaneously. The advantage of merged mining is that you do not need to split your hash rate between multiple coins.

You can learn more about merged mining at this link.

Your account (Dashboard)

What is a Watcher link? How do I use it?

The Watcher link provides real-time statistics for all your workers.

To use this feature, generate an API key in the Accounts and API section of your dashboard. Then go to:

and enter your API key.

How can I add a subaccount?

Go to the Accounts and API section of your dashboard and click Add account.

How can I view information about connected mining devices?

You can view information about your devices and their statistics in your dashboard under the Mining section, on the Dashboard and Workers tabs.

Why is the hash rate shown in the “Workers” tab lower than my device’s hash rate?

This is because the pool does not calculate performance based on individual hashes, but on shares that have statistical significance. Based on the number of shares submitted by your workers over a certain period of time, the pool calculates the hash rate, builds charts, and maintains statistics.

The hash rate displayed in the Workers tab is provided for informational purposes and to help estimate profitability. Actual rewards are calculated based on the submitted shares.

Why is the indicator next to my worker yellow?

A yellow indicator means the worker has an “Unstable” status.

There is no need to worry. When a worker is first connected, it may initially appear yellow because it needs some time to accumulate hashrate statistics.

This status is assigned in two cases:

  • When the hashrate changes sharply and significantly. For example, during connection or disconnection, when the hash rate shifts from 0 to 100%. It may also occur during a spike in rejected shares, since rejected shares are not counted as accepted hash rate.

  • When the rejection rate remains consistently above normal levels. For example, if a worker has been running for several hours with a rejection rate of 15%.

Once the situation stabilizes and the worker operates steadily for several hours without excessive rejections, its status will change to “Active.”

Why has the difficulty changed, but the calculator does not reflect this change?

The calculator displays projected data based on the pool’s profitability over the previous 24 hours. The updated value per 1 TH/s will be reflected only after 24 hours following the difficulty change.

Where can I set my payout wallet?

You can find detailed instructions on how to configure an external wallet for automatic mining payouts in the article Free mining payouts to an external wallet.

What happens if I don’t set a payout wallet?

Your funds will not be lost — they will accumulate in your Main account. You can later withdraw them manually in a way that works for you.
