Reward Calculation and Accrual
What’s shown in the Dashboard?
In the Dashboard — both in the web version and in the app — you can see:
Actual reward for the previous mining day
Projected reward for today — calculated based on the previous day’s pool profitability and your current hashrate
Amount to be paid — rewards in your mining account that haven’t yet been transferred to an external wallet (if one is set in the settings)
For what period are rewards calculated?
Rewards are calculated for the previous mining day — from 00:00 of the previous day to 00:00 of the current day (GMT).
When is the mined volume recorded?
The mined amount for the previous day is recorded at 00:00 of the current day (GMT).
When are rewards credited?
For all coins, rewards for the previous day are credited between 06:00 and 09:00 of the current day (GMT).
Why don’t projected and actual rewards match?
The projected reward shows the expected amount for the current day. It is calculated based on the previous day’s pool profitability, taking into account difficulty and fees.
The actual reward is calculated after the settlement period ends, once the network data has been updated and the final calculation is performed.
As a result, the actual amount may be higher or lower than the projection.
Example:
On the 17th, your projected reward was 0.00123456 BTC. It was calculated based on your average hashrate and the pool profitability on the 16th.
On the 18th at 00:00 (GMT), the mined amount for the 17th was recorded — from 00:00 on the 17th to 00:00 on the 18th (GMT).
After the network data for the 17th was updated, the final calculation was completed.
Your actual reward for the 17th was 0.00130000 BTC — higher than the projection from the previous day.
Why is my reward low if I started mining yesterday?
On your first day, rewards are calculated proportionally to the time your equipment was running before the daily cutoff.
Example:
You started mining on the 20th at 20:00 (GMT). At 00:00 on the 21st, the mined amount was recorded (GMT).
You will receive rewards for 4 hours of mining — from 20:00 on the 20th to 00:00 on the 21st(GMT).
The next day, rewards will be calculated for the full period — from 00:00 on the 21st to 00:00 on the 22nd (GMT).
Payouts
What’s the difference between a reward and a payout?
A reward is the calculation of the coins you have earned. A payout is the transfer of those accrued coins to your EMCD wallet or to an external wallet specified in the settings.
When are payouts made?
To your EMCD wallet — at the same time as rewards are credited
To an external wallet — daily between 12:00 and 14:00 (GMT)
Why hasn’t my payout to an external wallet been sent?
Check the following:
Recently changed your payout wallet?
After changing the wallet address, a 24-hour security hold applies before the first payout to the new address.
Example:
You set your payout wallet on the 20th at 15:00 (GMT). The hold remains in effect until 15:00 on the 21st.
If the payout window on the 21st has already passed (for example, at 13:30 GMT), the funds will be sent the next day — between 12:00 and 14:00 (GMT).
Has the minimum payout threshold been reached?
Payouts are made only after the balance reaches the set minimum threshold.
Example:
You set the minimum payout threshold to 0.1 BTC. Your mining account balance is 0.099 BTC.
Since the balance is below the threshold, the payout will not be sent that day. It will be processed once the balance reaches the required minimum.
The payout was sent, but the funds don’t appear in the wallet
Go to Mining → Payouts, find the transaction you need, and click In Blockchain.
On the blockchain transaction page, check the Status field. The funds will appear in your external wallet after 3–5 confirmations (the number of confirmations depends on the transfer amount).
