What Is Identity Verification (KYC)?
Identity verification, also known as KYC (Know Your Customer), is the process of confirming a user’s identity. It helps EMCD comply with AML/CFT requirements related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing and keeps the platform secure.
Can I Use EMCD Without Identity Verification?
Yes. For example, you can mine and send crypto without completing identity verification.
How Do I Complete Identity Verification in EMCD?
Install the latest version of the EMCD Mining app or update your existing app.
Sign in to your account.
Tap the profile icon on the Home screen.
Open the Security section.
Follow the on-screen instructions and upload the requested documents.
Wait for the verification result. It usually takes a few minutes.
What Documents Do I Need?
You need a valid identity document that clearly shows:
your full legal name
date of birth
date of issue
expiry date
photograph
You can use a passport, residence permit, national ID card, or driver’s license.
Identity Verification Requirements
1. Age
You must be at least 18 years old.
2. Document Requirements
The document must be valid when you complete verification.
The following information must be clearly visible:
full legal name
date of birth
date of issue
expiry date
photograph
You must use the original document. Copies and scans are not accepted.
Documents issued by unrecognized or partially recognized states or territories are not accepted.
Documents issued by sanctioned or restricted jurisdictions are also not accepted.
3. Document Photo Requirements
The entire document must be visible in the frame.
The photo must be clear and free from glare, shadows, and blur.
The following are not accepted:
photos of screens
scanned copies
edited photos
cropped photos
4. Selfie Requirements
Your face must be well lit.
Do not wear a mask or sunglasses or use filters.
Your face must match the photograph on your identity document.
You must take a live selfie during verification. Existing photos are not accepted.
Is It Safe to Share My Personal Data With EMCD?
Yes. EMCD verifies users’ identities and assesses risks in accordance with its Terms of Service and KYC/AML External Policy.
Personal data is used for KYC/AML purposes and processed in accordance with the EMCD Privacy Policy. It may be disclosed only where permitted or required by the policy or applicable law, including in response to lawful requests from authorized government agencies.
What Should I Do if Verification Fails?
Check that:
the information you entered is correct
the document photo is clear
there is no glare, darkness, or cropped information in the photo

When Is Identity Verification Unavailable?
Documents From Unrecognized or Partially Recognized States
EMCD cannot complete identity verification using documents issued by:
unrecognized states
partially recognized states
territories that are not included in relevant international registries
These documents cannot be verified through official databases. To complete verification, provide a document issued by a country recognized by the international community.
