What Is Identity Verification (KYC)?
Identity verification, also known as KYC (Know Your Customer), is the process of confirming a user’s identity. Such measures are applied as part of sanctions screening, fraud prevention, security, and risk management.
Can I Use EMCD Without Identity Verification?
Yes. Identity verification isn’t required to start mining, but we may request it at any time, depending on the service, jurisdiction, and risk profile. If verification is required and isn’t completed, some features and payouts may be restricted.
How Do I Complete Identity Verification in EMCD?
Install the latest version of the EMCD Mining app or update your existing app.
Sign in to your account.
Tap the profile icon on the Home screen.
Open the Security section.
Follow the on-screen instructions and upload the requested documents.
Wait for the verification result. It usually takes a few minutes, but may take longer.
What Documents Do I Need?
You need a valid identity document that clearly shows:
your full legal name
date of birth
date of issue
expiry date
photograph
You can use a passport, residence permit, national ID card, or driver’s license.

1. Age
You must be at least 18 years old.
2. Document Requirements
The document must be valid when you complete verification.
The following information must be clearly visible:
full legal name
date of birth
date of issue
expiry date
photograph
You must use the original document. Copies and scans are not accepted.
The document must be issued by a country or territory whose data can be verified through official databases.
Documents issued in sanctioned or restricted jurisdictions are not accepted.
3. Document Photo Requirements
The entire document must be visible in the frame.
The photo must be clear and free from glare, shadows, and blur.
The following are not accepted:
photos of screens
scanned copies
edited photos
cropped photos
4. Selfie Requirements
Your face must be well lit.
Do not wear a mask or sunglasses or use filters.
Your face must match the photograph on your identity document.
You must take a live selfie during verification. Existing photos are not accepted.
How is my data processed?
Your data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, including by the verification provider.
What Should I Do if Verification Fails?
Check that:
that your details are correct;
the quality of the document photo;
that there is no glare, shadows, or cropped parts.

When Is Identity Verification Unavailable?
EMCD cannot complete identity verification using documents issued by:
the document was issued in a country or territory whose data can’t be checked against official databases;
the document was issued in a sanctioned or restricted jurisdiction;
the document has expired;
you uploaded a copy, scan, screenshot, or an edited or cropped photo instead of the original document;
the full name, date of birth, issue date, expiry date, or photo isn’t visible in the image.
